Information about Accessing Medical Care

PHONES: During office hours, the phone is answered by a staff member who can help you with questions, schedule appointments and provide other services. If you reach our answering machine while the office is closed, you will receive directions as to how to obtain help.

NEW PATIENTS: The practice is accepting new patients. Please call us for an appointment. Our practice provides outpatient services only. (Go to the "services" link above for a discussion of inpatient and newborn services.)

APPOINTMENTS: Please call the office for an appointment. We will schedule in advance for Well Child Checkups, Immunizations and follow up visits for ongoing problems. Same Day Appointments are available for children with illnesses. If you are able to call for an appointment before 3:00 p.m., we will do our best to see your child that same day.

QUESTIONS AFTER HOURS: A recording will direct you to the answering service. Because most insurance companies require you to talk to their Nurse Triage Service, the answering service will assist you calling them. Please call our office for advice during regular office hours. Pride yourself in knowing what to do if vomiting, diarrhea, clear runny nose or fever appears during the night. Know the doses of common over the counter medications appropriate for your child’s age and weight. If in doubt, take the child to an Urgent Care Facility or Emergency Department if your child becomes ill after the office closes.
