OUTPATIENT CARE: Please call the office for an appointment. We will schedule in advance for Well Child Checkups, Immunizations and follow up visits for ongoing problems. Same Day Appointments are available for children with illnesses. If you are able to call for an appointment before 3:00 p.m., we will do our best to see your child that same day.
INPATIENT CARE: Should your child need to be hospitalized, they can be admitted to the Pediatric Inpatient Services of Floyd Medical Center. There, they will be treated by the hospital physicians until they are discharged. After discharge we will be available to resume outpatient care. If you so choose, we can make arrangements to have the child admitted to T.C. Thompson Children’s Hospital in Chattanooga or at a children’s hospital in the Atlanta Metropolitan Area. If the child’s medical condition permits, we do recommend Floyd Medical Center.
NEWBORNS: Prenatal visits are encouraged. While some of our Newborn Care Notes will be available to you before birth, after delivery at Floyd Medical Center, your infant will be cared for by a Floyd Medical Center Pediatrician or Family Physician of your choice. Once discharged, we will be available to provide the infant with comprehensive well baby care and their immunizations. In planning for a newborn, we suggest that you contact our practice if you need help in choosing a physician. Similarly, you can have your baby wherever you and your Obstetrician decide, say, for example, in Cartersville…and you may still see us after the infant goes home. We know that the days before and after delivery are stressful and hectic, but plan to call our office to schedule your newborn's continuing care while you are the hospital, or on the day you go home.
